On January 26, 2016, the fourth session of the 12th People's Congress of Hubei Province opened at the Hongshan Hall in Wuhan, and Governor Wang Guosheng delivered a government work report. The report proposes to increase the construction of new energy vehicle charging infrastructure, implement tax incentives for new energy vehicles, and stabilize automobile consumption. We need to transform the potential for green development into enormous advantages for green development, pay more attention to promoting the formation of green production and consumption methods, and vigorously cultivate green growth points.

At present, our province is actively guiding new energy vehicle enterprises to gather in advantageous areas and industrial parks such as Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Shiyan, and elongating the industrial chain; Relax market access, encourage Internet enterprises to participate in new energy vehicle industry R&D and operation services, and build a new business model based on consumer demands; Persist in making the public service sector a breakthrough point for the application of new energy vehicles, and encourage civil servants to take the lead in using new energy vehicles.

In 2013, Dongfeng Motor began building a new energy vehicle factory in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone; In 2014, BYD Motors built a new energy commercial vehicle production base in Huangpi; In 2015, Jianghuai Automobile built a new energy production base in Caidian with an annual output of over 10000 vehicles. At the same time, Xiangyang is also focusing on building a new energy capital in the central region.
